After refusing a fight against Derrick Lewis at UFC 265, arguing the two-and-a-month period between his original palm was too short, Ngannou and UFC President Dana White have had a public war of words.

White has lately claimed that he and Ngannou are on good terms, with Gane and Ngannou set to put the heavyweight title saga to an end latterly this month in Anaheim, California.
